    I was so excited about this book and I was so disappointed with it. While Cass it's.. slightly interesting, her character was a bit hard to believe. Her decisions are often hasty and she hurts a lot of people because of that. Revenge could easily be her middle name, which shows that she's not that mature... Yes, she's been hurt, but when does revenge ever solve anything? (however, I have enjoyed some books where the character got some payback, it's a matter of how you write what your character's going through and what changes arise in his/her personality). I'm not saying she should just sit and watch how everyone is making her feel bad, including her ex-friend Danielle, but exposing some secrets - with the will to do harm, not because she cares for her old friend's well being -  does not make her better than her ex-friend, she should be above that. The book was incredibly big for this story, I believe that the entire plot could've been told in 10 pages... So many filler words and paragraphs, I was reading pages and it felt like one sentence most of the time.
    When I bought it, I was drawn to the summary on the back, not by the cover. It's quite unusual for me to buy something specifically for the blurbs and whatever else might be written on the back, but this time I did, because it actually sounded interesting. And it could've easily been interesting, if the subject would've been approached better.
   I didn't sense any connection with the characters I read whatsoever. Many times when you read, you either relate to the characters, strive to become like them, hate them and I could go on and on.. You're experiencing everything with them, every new thing they discover, you discover as well, wherever they go, you follow. In Give Up the Ghost, there wasn't any character that awoke such feelings in me.
   It's not gonna be a re-read for me.
