      The Breakaway is a story that will surely make you have an opinion about Naomi's choices, whether it's a good or a bad one.
       Naomi is... hard to read. She's like a paradox, sometimes. She doesn't try to escape, she obeys, she behaves, then she wants to escape, fight for her freedom. She's more of a love-hate character.
       The book will give you a lot of different emotions, from hate to love, from sadness to happiness and then sadness again. Naomi passes through all these emotional stages, this... internal struggle, that it's hard to keep track. Being kidnapped surely can't be a good thing and I guarantee you'll feel her fear. One of the kidnappers usually has these mood swings, let's call them. He's okay one minute and punching you the next, so whenever Naomi's around him, you'll definitely feel the tension.
       However, Naomi soon realizes that she's taking care of, even more than she was at home. She grew up with nannies parents that are always at work, so when her kidnappers make sure that she's taken care of, she doesn't know what to think anymore.
      The Breakaway is filled with powerful feelings and revealings and bonding with your family, your boyfriend, it's just one big book with a lot of things going on. I'm giving it 3 stars, not because i didn't like it enough to give it 5, but at times, the story felt unreal.
