Meghan Chase has a secret destiny; one she could never have imagined.

Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school or at home.

When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.

But she could never have guessed the truth - that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face; and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

There are not enough words to explain how much I liked this book.
Not enough.
I'm not really a faery fan, but this book completely changed my beliefs. I loved it, beginning to end.

Meghan, the sort of character you can easily relate to, embarks in a journey to rescue her brother. She's suddenly in a world she thought didn't exist, a world that's quite dangerous and filled with creatures that if they don't kill you, they surely want something in exchange.

Though the story really is great, it's the relationship she has with Ash that made me LOVE the book. Okay, so I'm weird like that, I like the guy who basically wanted to kill her at first, boo hoo, sue me. He's the kind of guy that knows how to talk to a woman - 'til the point where he tells you he wants you dead - and I bet everyone who read the book would love a dance with him.

And I absolutely adore Puck/Robbie and his funny personality. I bet in a world where danger is lurking in bushes and everywhere else, someone like him is nice to have around.

Another fact I really enjoyed was that you can really say you know the characters. There are books where, even after finishing them, you have no idea of one's personality, but here you easily connect with everyone.

This book easily turned out to be my favorite read in... let's say May, cause June just began.
I recommend this book to everyone who loves some romance, fantasy and, well.. fairies ^^

Loved the heroine's personality and ability to adapt to a new world. Also, there's not one character not to love in this book and you can easily connect with each and everyone.

The romance was beyond amazing and I can feel it will only get better.

Pacing/Length: 4/5

Sometimes, the description might've been too much, but the world portrayed is so vivid!

Used to hate it when I first saw it and now I can't get enough of it.

It's a great start for a series that's bound to be addictive.
